The frame is built from solid hardwood, stained in deep, sun-warmed tones that echo the ranchlands south of Austin. Each leg is turned on a lathe by hand, tapering with purpose before meeting reinforced cross-stretchers that lock the structure tight. This chair does not wobble. It does not creak. It sits planted like it grew there.

The iron spindle back is the signature — vertical bars of hand-forged metal, blackened and lightly textured, rising between the wooden crest rail and seat frame. The contrast is deliberate: warm wood against cold iron, soft leather against hammered nailhead trim that wraps the seat perimeter in tight, evenly spaced rows. Every tack is set by hand in our Texas workshop.

The seat itself is upholstered in full-grain leather — the hide's original surface, unaltered, ready to patina into something richer over years of family dinners, late-night conversations, and holiday gatherings.
